Upper foyer
The central meeting point on the first floor is the generous upper foyer. Constructed as part of the extension programme between 1912 and 1917, the upper foyer is held in black, deep green, rust-red and brass to create an incomparable atmosphere. The gentle, indirect light penetrating through the skylight dome is supplemented by artificial light and wall sconces.
Before the evening function begins in the Bénazetsaal, your guests can enjoy a cocktail or champagne reception in the spacious area around the railing of the impressive staircase.
At major gala events, the foyer is also frequently used for refreshments or sponsors' booths, or for setting up the delicious buffets provided by our Kurhaus Catering.
